Welcome to my Dreamwidth page.

My name is Di and I write a story using the Sims 2 computer game, set around the Legacy Challenge by Pinstar.  It started out as a very basic commentary and record of what was happening as I tried to complete the challenge.  There was also limited Victorian custom content in it at first, and modern playables from the main neighbourhood the legacy village was associated with.  However by chapter 8 I had started to introduce plot, chapter 9 saw a rebuild of the neighbourhood which started the end of the modern objects, and by chapter 15 it had evolved into a full blown narrative tale.

I've now been publishing it for over two years, and for most of that time I was using the story exchange at the official website.  However during the summer of 2009, the exchange was broken for two months, meaning that I could no longer upload there.  Wanting to continue to share the story of my family, I looked for an alternative and found SlideShare.  I liked the new format so much, I decided to stick with it, and convert all my previous chapters to the new format.

If you decide to read it, I hope you enjoy it.

For your reference, here is a guide to who's who in Regalton and Simdon.  All my playables are included, so it is very long.

This is arranged by generation, and the sims added by age (for the most part). Quite a few of these guys are available for download over at the Emporium, but if there is someone you really want and they are not there, let me know and I will upload them for you.

The main characters that are still children will have shorter blurbs than the adults so as to not spoil their stories and character development.

If you are still a bit puzzled over how everyone is related, you can consult my spiffy family tree here.

Generation one.

Generation two.

Generation three.

Generation four.

Generation five.

I am a member of couple of sim-writing communities over at Live Journal, Sim_Spiration and Sims_crossing. Sim_Spiration is a prompts community where three prompts are posted a day, and anyone is invited to write a response for as many as they like. Sims_Crossing is a general writing community, but with a focus on cross-overs between different stories and universes.  I've posted various drabbles in the communities since they started, most canon, some almost canon, and some not. I think that all of them add to the world my legacy is set in though, and so I'm linking to them here.

I'd prefer comments over at Boolprop if that's not too much trouble.  It's easier for me to keep track of and respond to them there.  If you don't have a Boolprop account, then you are, of course, more than welcome to comment here.
